Tentang Lagu Young and Beautiful

Lagu Young And Beautiful ini dirilis pada tanggal 23 April 2013 sebagai soundtrack film dengan judul The Great Gatsby, kemudian diunggah melalui kanal YouTube pribadi Lana pada 10 Mei 2013.

Lana Del Rey adalah penyanyi asal Amerika yang terkenal dengan karya musiknya yang bernuansa sadcore.

Lana selalu berhasil menghadirkan suasana glamor sekaligus tragis dalam setiap karyanya.

Young and beautiful sendiri adalah lagu dengan genre ballad orkestra, dengan aransemen musik yang dramatis, memadukan antara piano dan biola.

Makna lagu ini menggambarkan ketakutan akan kehilangan masa muda dan kecantikan, serta kerinduan akan cinta sejati yang abadi.

Tidak hanya itu, melalui liriknya yang terkenal "Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?,"  ini menyoroti ketidakpastian dalam hubungan, dan kekhawatiran tentang apakah cinta akan bertahan seiring bertambahnya usia dan hilangnya daya tarik fisik. 

Di balik kekhawatiran tersebut, terdapat harapan akan cinta sejati yang tetap bertahan meskipun keindahan fisik terus memudar. 

Dengan ketenaran lagu ini, membuat Lana sempat memenangkan kategori best original song dalam ajang satellite awards pada tahun 2014, memasuki nominasi Best Song dalam ajang Critics' Choice Movie Awards, dan kategori best song written for visual media dalam ajang grammy awards di tahun yang sama.
